About Me
I am a keen digital photographer and digital image maker. My interest in photography started when I was 11, when my Mum and Dad bought me an original Olympus Trip on holiday. This was a "real" film camera, and, despite it's simplicity and ease of use, took great photos. I still have it, and it still works.
Then I discovered digital cameras. A succession of more powerful consumer cameras (each with full manual control and RAW functionality), and an increasing confidence and ability in Photoshop, led to my current interest in SLR-based photography and Digital Imaging.
I have attended several Photoshop courses (intermediate and advanced), as well as landscape photography courses. I have had images published in a travel guide, in local press, and used on a biotechnology website. I have also done some product photography. I am a member of my local camera club, having had success in club competitions in 2006/7 and 2007/8.
The images on this site represent my attempt to capture something of the essence of the places or people photographed, in terms of the physical nature of the place and/or the feeling evoked at the time.
Thanks for visiting. Enjoy the images. Any feedback (via the page on this site) much appreciated.
